Admissions

Entry to the Pre-School
It is advisable to register your child for possible admission at
least one year before their second birthday. If you would like to
put your child's name on our waiting list, please fill in our
registration form.
Reception
The vast majority of our Pre-School children transfer into
Reception. Parents, together with their child, have a brief meeting
with the Principal to discuss entry into Reception and the
Acceptance Form is handed out to parents.
Key Stage 1
A few places sometimes become available in Years 1 and 2.
Children are offered a Taster Day and a teacher assessment based on
reading, writing and number skills; as well as conduct and
behaviour.
Key Stage 2
In-house examinations are set in Maths, English and Reasoning
for Years 4 and 5. Occasionally, children join the School in other
year groups. Prospective pupils take these tests appropriate to
their age so the school can assess their level of attainment and
potential.
Applicants will be asked to ‘join’ the class they may be going
into, to give them the opportunity to familiarise themselves with
the School and their possible future peers. The Taster Day gives
the child the opportunity to trial the School and the School gives
prospective parents feedback on their child’s results.
An offer of a place is made if there is a vacancy and the School
feels that the child would benefit from the education it
offers.
