Why Choose St. Andrew's

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family will make.

Where Ambition Meets Kindness

At St. Andrew’s, we combine academic ambition with a deeply rooted culture of kindness, ensuring every child is known, supported and challenged to achieve their absolute best.

Our approach is simple: children learn best when they are happy, confident and surrounded by strong, positive relationships. We prioritise childhood in its fullest sense -curiosity, play, friendship and discovery - alongside the academic foundations that prepare pupils for the future.

Exceptional 11+ Success

Our pupils consistently achieve outstanding results at 11+, with a high proportion securing places at leading Grammar Schools and top independent senior schools across Medway and Kent. This success is built on strong teaching, careful preparation and a genuine love of learning.

We focus on developing confident, articulate learners who can think independently, work collaboratively and approach challenges with calm assurance.

A Strong Grammar School Pathway

Year after year, a considerable proportion of our leavers move on to Grammar Schools. This reflects both our academic strength and our understanding of what children need to thrive beyond St. Andrew’s.

We work closely with families throughout this journey, offering structured guidance, tailored support and honest advice at every stage of preparation and application.

A Culture Built on Kindness and Respect

Kindness is not something we teach separately, it is lived every day. Pupils are encouraged to be thoughtful, respectful and supportive of one another in all areas of school life.

Visitors often comment on the warmth of relationships between pupils. Children look out for one another naturally, and a keen sense of mutual respect underpins classroom and playground life.

An Unforgettable School Experience

Life at St. Andrew’s is full, varied and joyful. Alongside a strong academic core, pupils take part in a rich programme of sport, music, clubs, performances, trips and themed learning days that bring learning to life.

These shared experiences are where friendships deepen and confidence grows. Children collaborate, create and explore together, discovering interests and talents in an environment designed to keep childhood active, engaging and memorable.

A Community Where Friendships Flourish

One of the defining strengths of St. Andrew’s is the way friendships develop across the school. Older pupils naturally support younger children, creating a culture of care, confidence and belonging that runs through every year group.

These relationships help children feel secure, included and valued. They are known, recognised and connected, not just within their class, but across the wider school community.

Where Friendships Flourish, Futures Begin

At St. Andrew’s, we believe education should be both ambitious and joyful. We prepare children for academic success, but we also protect and celebrate the richness of childhood itself.
