St. Andrew's Parent Teacher Association

The school has a flourishing Parent and Teacher Association that works in close partnership with the school. SAPTA (St. Andrew's PTA) provides support through its fund-raising activities as well as providing an important link between home and school.

SAPTA has three principal roles:

  1. Raising funds for new equipment and experiences
  2. Hosting events for the children such as the Christmas Fayre and Summer Fair
  3. Offering all parents the chance to be part of an inclusive school community

Anyone can be a member of SAPTA, whether you are a parent, grandparent or staff member. It is a chance to get involved with you school community and enjoy some of the events and activities on offer.

The generosity of the time donated by our committee members is astonishing.

Committee members arrange a host of activities and functions across the school and play a vital role in raising funds for the school, to provide those ‘icing on the cake’ extras, which often make learning more exciting and rewarding.

Since SAPTA’s creation over 15 years ago, over £100,000 has been raised by parents, teachers and supporters.

This has enabled SAPTA to provide playground equipment, purchase a mini bus and invest in a set of laptops, as well as purchasing many other items such as soft play resources for the Pre-School and an outdoor table tennis table.

SAPTA meet termly and have an Annual General Meeting in the Spring Term. We welcome new members who bring fresh ideas and approaches.  Any help contributed to support our events ultimately, and most importantly, benefits each and every child at St. Andrew’s School.

Membership of SAPTA is open to everyone—whether you are a parent, grandparent, or member of staff. You don’t need to commit to regular meetings to be involved; there are many ways to contribute, from baking a cake for a stall, to helping at an event, to sharing ideas for new fundraising activities.

Joining SAPTA is a wonderful way to meet new people, learn more about school life, and see first-hand the positive impact you can have. Whether you can spare a little time or a lot, your involvement will be greatly appreciated—and you might even have some fun along the way!

Together, we can continue to create a vibrant, supportive environment where our children can thrive

One of the best times to connect with SAPTA is at our Annual General Meeting. It’s a  fantastic opportunity to learn more about the work we’ve done over the past year, see how funds have been used to support the school, and hear about the exciting projects and events ahead.

The AGM is also a chance to share your own ideas, meet other parents and staff, and explore ways you might like to get involved—whether that’s helping out occasionally, taking on a bigger role, or simply showing your support.

Everyone is welcome, so come along and be part of shaping the vibrant, supportive community that makes St. Andrew’s such a special place.

Please check the parent calendar for the next meeting date.

We hold regular second-hand uniform sales throughout the year at both the Main School and the Pre-School, usually after school hours.

Donations
We warmly welcome donations of pre-loved uniform. To help us, please ensure all items are freshly washed, name labels removed, and placed in a suitable bag. Donations can be left at the School Office—just let us know when you plan to drop them off so we can arrange collection.

1-to-1 Sales
If you can’t make it to one of our regular sales, we are happy to arrange a personal 1-to-1 uniform sale. Simply contact us with the items you need, and we’ll advise on availability and arrange a convenient time to meet—usually at school drop-off or collection time.

Please check the Parent Calendar for the next sale date.
