St Andrew's School

ISA Athletics

On Tuesday 7th June, pupils from year 6 travelled to Norman Park athletics track in Bromley to take part in the ISA Athletics competition along with 19 other ISA schools. This is the first time that St Andrew's has entered the competition so the pupils were excited for the day ahead. Each pupil took part in up to three events, with the top two competitors in each event going forward to represent London South in the ISA Nationals. The events were; 80m, 150m, 600m, high jump, long jump, shot put, cricket ball throw, rounders ball throw and the relays.

The pupils had an excellent day, putting in some fantastic performances throughout the competition. Whilst all of the St Andrew's pupils performed brilliantly, some of the stand out performances included; Eloise Matarutse finishing 5th in the shot putt, Oliver Horne finishing 4th in the 600m, Ryan Peters finishing 5th in the high jump, both boys and girls relay teams finishing 3rd in the heats and Isabella Burrows finishing 3rd in the 150m.

The pupils all thoroughly enjoyed the day and they should all be proud of how well they represented St Andrew's.
