On Friday 1st July, pupils from Years 3 and 4 took part in St Andrew’s first ever one night residential trip to the Swattenden Centre in Cranbrook. Despite a rainy start to the day, pupils arrived with high spirits and immediately went on to their first activity. Over the course of the two days, all of the pupils took part in a number of activities designed to help improve their confidence, team work skills and communication skills. The activities the children took part in were; the low zip wire, climbing wall, the bridge, the swing, the triangle, the tri-crane, log planks and swamp sticks. On the Friday evening the children took part in a camp fire; toasting marshmallows, drinking hot chocolate and singing songs that were led by Mr Paul!
The children had a fantastic time, with many children conquering their fear of heights whilst demonstrating excellent team work skills.
