LCS Cross Country

On Saturday 15th October, pupils from St Andrew’s took part in the LCS Cross Country competition. Pupils from Years R – 6 competed against children from Bryony, Swingate, Bredhurst, Phoenix and Hiltop over a variety of distances around the Fort Pitt playing fields. Each school was competing to score the lowest score possible, with each first place in a race scoring 1 point, second place scoring 2 points etc.

St Andrew’s pupils ran brilliantly all morning, winning 9 out of the 14 races whilst scoring a high number of 2nd and 3rdplace finishes as well. This put the St Andrew’s team in first place overall with a score of 448.5 points with Bryony in second place with 576 points.

This was a fantastic effort by every pupil taking part. All of the children that competed thoroughly enjoyed themselves across a range of challenging distances. Well done!
