St Andrew's School

Sport

Through a varied Physical Education curriculum, pupils have the opportunity to develop physically and creatively through activities such as Athletics, Tag Rugby, Gymnastics, Basketball, Hockey and Swimming.

We aim to nurture and develop the competence and confidence of all children in a range of activities.

Pupils and Teacher Mr Pitcher

In the Infant School, pupils have a weekly Physical Education lesson taught by the specialist PE teacher, as well as a weekly session with their class teacher

In the Junior School, pupils have a PE lesson as well as a Games afternoon each week. These lessons are all taught by specialist PE teachers.

A balanced provision of ‘sport for all’ and competitive opportunities allows pupils to leave us with a lifelong passion for sports and physical activity. Fixtures are played with local Medway schools. We also compete in the Medway Mini Youth Games Series, the Independent Schools’ Association Competitions as well as running our own 'House' sports competitions.

Beyond the PE curriculum, pupils have the opportunity to participate in a variety of sports clubs, which are designed to be as inclusive as possible.
